It appears that, indeed, the year of 2023 is the great big year of Sci going back to doing loads of fanart.
Don't ask why I wrote that in the third person.
Besides the "Tea?" one, which you can see in the link, there was...
This... thing. I will admit, I postponed actually drawing Barbara and Ian. Especially Barbara. I cannot for the life of me draw women :/ It appears I have regressed, I did draw better Barbaras before...
However, researching the OG TARDIS set (or rather sets) was quite fun. I tried to make sense of it in-universe, failed, and then said "fuck it" and did the background (that is my idea of "fun" it seems). I also have now 2 pdfs of a TARDIS-construction hobbyist fan [1], which explains everything (and I mean everything) in excruciating detail.
And there's the unexpected hit. Everyone loved The Hamster!
All because I was accidentally going to type "the amster" instead of "the master" in my Tumblr tags, and I just had to do it.
I'm working in a bit of a continuation, have the layout and composition figured out, but uni started recently, plus I have signed up for a few exchanges. So, for more personal things, simpler srawings will be prioritised. But the sequel to The Hamster will indeed be a thing!
Remembered when I said, when it came to personal drawings, that sinpler stuff would be prioritised? Not even five seconds ago? I lied.
Because, as I had The Chase going on in the background while doing some uni work (as one does), I couldn't get over Morton Dill's two cameras. You know, the Alabama guy played by Peter Purves three episodes before he was Steven. And he as two cameras because one is a video camera! And I thought that was really neat.
So guess who spent his time looking at early Canon video cameras?
We get some The Adventures of Sir Lancelot now, becauseWilliam Russell is very hot it's fun!
Will never get over the gladiator armour though. Not because it's not historically accurate (nothing in the show is btw), but there's... so much skin... on a kids' show... I have seen more of William Russell than I thought was possible. However, I am not complaining ;)
A cozy second Doctor that I originally doodled, thought it was cute and ended up giving him the full piece treatment. Brought me joy. Haven't done Two in a while.
Going back to Sir Lancelot, The Thieves is a very good episode. It's not only funny, but also it holds up very well!
Shame it never got a second season. Would love more episodes of Arthur and Lancelot mucking about lol
[1] Yes, there are people who actually study and then build TARDIS replicas. They also do a lot of really neat 3D work on, say, Blender. Can share links if anyone is interested in snooping that forum.
