Had to. There's one thing here that's been rattling in brain.

A - Your current OTP
Barbara/Ian forever. Barbarian, if you will.

B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind
My first thought was Ahmad/Jaffar of The Thief of Bagdad fame (all because of a fanvid), but I'm not in that fandom.

C - A pairing you have never liked and probably never will
Will not answer. Not because I'm afraid of being crucified, I just don't want to rain on people's parades.

D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t
Read number C.

E - Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what?
It's all drops in the ocean, but yes. What? Pretty much everything I've ever drawn and written :P

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?
Doctor Who. (Would say Pókemon, but I don't do much besides looking at fanart.)

G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it?
No idea. Belle/Beast? Willy Fogg/Romy? Robin Hood/Maid Marion? Who knows?

H - Do you prefer characters from real action series or anime series?
While I like anime, I'm more of a live-action person. But this is comparing apples and oranges.

I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Not exactly Tumblr, and I didn't stop liking it, just became more shut off from it.
And people say I lack social skills...

J - Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over Tumblr
I guess Caligari? I never expected a silent film to have such a fandom. It makes sense here, there's so many loose ends and vagueness you can pick at and discuss, it's a beautiful-looking film, so lots of art the somnambulist is hot.

K - How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom?
I have curated my DW fandom experience so well over the years I like it here. Granted, it's mostly classic Who.
The Conrad Veidt fandom has great artists. Yeah.

L - Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?
The next part of the series?

M - Your favorite fanart or fanartist?
I can't choose just one.
Connie Veidt as Leyendecker socks man be upon thee

N - Your favorite fanfiction or fanauthor?
I love thisiszircon's Undercurrents.

O - Choose a song at random, which OTP does it remind you of
My one weakness!
Pet Shop Boys - Suburbia
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)
Sir meme, I have been haunted by the three sentence fic/drabble fusion of Ich und die Kaiserin and The Phantom of the Opera (1925 film edition). No need for more inventions.
Wait. Since Captain Hardt is in Anno Dracula (and a vampire), The Spy in Black AU but Hardt is a vampire and survives. \o/

Q - A ship you’ve abandoned and why
Never. They stick together till the ends of time.

R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
All the rarepairs from the teeny tiny fandoms ('cept Kurt/Paul Anders als die Andern, Droste/Ellissen of FP1 and Lancelot/Lynette of anything Arthurian.)
Or Erik/Me.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon
Erik dyes his hair white. Or his valet does. All for the aesthetic.

T - If you mostly have homoships, do you have any heteroships?
This! This was what's bugging me because I've never heard the terms "homoship" and "hereroship". Are they recent terms? Or are they older but more obscure?
I dunno.

U - If you mostly have heteroships, do you have any homoships?
Read T.

V - Are you one of those fans who can’t watch anything without shipping?
Don't think so.

W - 5 favorite characters from 5 different fandoms
Did this here

X - 3 OTPs from 3 different fandoms
Doctor Who - Barbara/Ian <3
Anders als die Andern - Kurt/Paul (obviously)
The Spy in Black - Hardt/Bütter

Y - A fandom you’re in but have no ships from
Caligari, probably.
Wait no, those three dudes. They're basically canon, that doesn't count.

Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go
Connie's films should be more readily available. By this time last year, we got one previously unavailable film. Where's Hektor Dalmore? Christian Wahnschaffe? (What other unavailable films have people's names as the title?)
At least there's still

Everyday I cry for the deactivation of hanswalterconradveidt on Tumblr (they're also on the Internet Archive?). So much good stuff, so much research, lost. These are the true angels that carry this godforsaken fandom, the kind souls who are enthusiastic and want to share the enthusiasm, alongside the artists.

Anyway, I shared a Karloff fanart, now I share this beautiful The Man Who Laughs piece. The author has a tumblr, but couldn't find the art there, only on AO3.

And The Spy in Black piece, so soft, like bütter. (That's my bestie Veidt fan acquaintance!)

PS: Connie as Carlos petting a borzoi in Carlos und Elisabeth.

You're welcome.

Welp, there's a new Megamind film?? Oh, it was streaming-only, and it sucks arse. The Disney direct-to-DVD sequels have evolved (Cinderella 3 is awesome. Much better than the original :P )

This interesting post on Tumblr about the differences and similarities between The Adventures of Robin Hood and Casablanca.

Speaking of Robin Hood, it came up on the TV. Had a grand old time.

I'm on Squidgeworld now! Had a lurker account for a while and decided, oh what the hell. It's pretty barren as of now, I'm slowly uploading my stuff :D

[personal profile] beatrice_otter's post about crowdsourcing public domain e-books. Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks, Librovox and the Smithsonian mentioned.

Here's a wonderful Seven/Ace drabble by [personal profile] senmut, featuring the always delightful Brigadier Bambera and Ancelyn! And some nice DW icons by [personal profile] sarajayechan (never knew I needed an icon with Onesie and his one-time pipe).

I got to meet [personal profile] but_can_i_be_trusted's Nutmeg and Sage, [personal profile] irusu's D.Va, Sora and irusu's mother's Bossy Flossie, and finally [personal profile] miss_grimwood's Molly! They're all lovely.

[personal profile] whoopsitswhump gave me some recs, some more recs from [personal profile] unfavorableinstigation and even more recs from [personal profile] redhandedtamarin.

Thank you everyone. You made my day <3

So, yeah, spent a whole week away without a computer, and my phone decided to die. Fingers crossed the data on it is still salvageable (which it very much is).

On the meantime, Fandom Gift Basket is going (the link goes to mine). Already working on some thingies for some people hehe

Since I haven't been posting much here (gah uni, why must you take my time aweh!), why not?

Apologies if the sentences don't make much sense, I'm very tired.

Here's the Allbingo questionnaire

How long have you belonged to this community? What attracted you to it? How often do you play?
I have honestly no idea when I joined, and I only started to play this year. I've always been fascinated by the concept of bingos ever since I lurked a bunch of defunct LJ communities. Plus, it allows for other types of fanwork, not just fic, which is great for a visual artist like me.

What do you like best about creative bingo? Do you feel that it helps you as a creative person?
It isn't just the zing of a new idea, but when you already have an idea, and it fits the bingo square, it makes it so that I actually push through to get it done. Not that I wouldn't do it without a bingo, but it kinda "gameyfies" it, so more dopamine on the brain.

What are some of your favorite bingo themes? Are those single events, recurring, or a mix of both?
Well, the only one I'm participating is the Public Domain bingo, and I like it because it's just an excuse to gush over stuff I already liked (and the added self-imposed challenge of only writing for public domain material is fun!)

Do you participate in other bingo communities? If so, what are some of your favorites?
[community profile] genprompt_bingo and that's it. Still haven't made a bingo on that one either, sigh.
It's cool though, check it out if you haven't.

Do you typically create fills in the same format or fandom, or spread them out over different kinds? What will readers find in your work?
I'm a visual artist, so a lot of my fills tend to be fanart, but I like experimenting sometimes. You may get a minimal colour piece, or a more painterly one (I wanna do one of these so bad). When it comes to ficcage it can also be varied, a 1k oneshot, a drabble; in terms of genre it can be fluff, or hurt/comfort, or outright crack!
Fandom-wise, I like Doctor Who, so a lot of the fills shall be related to it, but a certain man bewitched me (again) and I'm feeling inspired.

Have you ever made blackout (filled all the prompts on a card)? If so, how many times?
I haven't even bingo-ed!

Have you ever hosted a bingo fest here? If so, what was your favorite theme(s)? If not, what themes might you fantasize about hosting?
Nope. I don't think I could, to be honest ('-_-)

When did you start writing fanfic? Do you still write in the fandom you started with? And how many fandoms have you written for? Also, when did you first learn about fanfiction in the first place? And how did you even find out? Did you search for it, or did you just stumble across it by chance?

It was many, many years ago. I didn't even know what fanfiction was. I wrote the piece for a school assignment (I think I was in 3rd grade?). It was for King Arthur's Disasters. That was the first and last time I wrote for that fandom (does it even have one?).

I primarly write for Doctor Who; however, I have been branching out. I have written for 10 different fandoms, all but one (the aforementioned DW) are obscure. I ended up creating the tags for Ich und die Kaiserin, The Blue Parrot and Contraband (1940) on AO3 lol.

I was introduced to fanfiction by an old goth acquaintance back when we were 12/13. She was reading fic for some anime, told me about it, and when I asked if there was some for DW, she said that there's fic about everything (oh, the naivety of children). I started reading on FanFiction.Net, but it was too dry when it came to Classic Who (well, the parts of Classic Who I was interested in anyway). I ended up immersing myself on Teaspoon and defunct Livejournal blogs and communities. Then came AO3.

Oop my bad.

A few months ago, [community profile] tardis_library had a surprise character challenge. Among the characters assigned to me, there was Susan. I went a bit overboard with my recs.

And last month they had a rec bingo challenge, and, again, I went overboard :D

For Space Swap 2023, I made a gift for [personal profile] lurking_latinist, and got two gifts from [personal profile] lurking_latinist (The Landwalker) and [personal profile] ceruleantactician (ace in the hole). Such great gifts :D

For Rare Pair Exchange 2023, I made a gift for [archiveofourown.org profile] RussetFiredrake, and got two gifts from [personal profile] technicolorrevel (clowning around) and [archiveofourown.org profile] youknowthelines (riverwalk). Also lovely!
